Early Crew

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

WE WANT TO START EACH COUPLE’S SPECIAL DAY ON THE RIGHT FOOT. AS THE EARLY CREW - YOU ARE MAKING SURE WE DO JUST THAT! YOU’RE A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF GETTING ABELLA READY AND CLEAN FOR THE NEXT EVENT.

 

IF YOU’RE WORKING AN A.M. SHIFT, YOU WILL BE CLEANING UP THE “BIG” THINGS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, RESETTING THE TABLES AND CHAIRS FOR THE DAY’S EVENT. YOU WILL ALSO WORK WITH THE REST OF THE CREW TO ENSURE THE PROPERTY IS IN IT’S BEST CONDITION. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: PICKING UP TRASH, WIPING DOWN TABLES AND CHAIRS, AND CLEANING UP ANYTHING THAT NEEDS ATTENTION FROM THE PREVIOUS EVENT.

 

SHIFTS ARE SEASONAL (APRIL-NOVEMBER). THEY ARE TYPICALLY 4 HOUR SHIFTS (8AM-12PM) ON THURSDAYS-SUNDAYS WHEN EVENTS ARE SCHEDULED. YOU’LL BE ON ROTATION WITH OTHER CREW MEMBERS, AND YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK 5-25 HOURS PER WEEK.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • RESET TABLES AND CHAIRS FOR OUR NEXT EVENT

  • WORK WITH THE ABELLA TEAM TO ENSURE THE MAIN SPACES OF THE PROPERTY ARE CLEANED UP, INCLUDING: PICKING UP TRASH, SWEEPING THE PATIO, WASHING THE WINDOWS, ETC.

  • WALK THE ENTIRE PROPERTY LOOKING FOR ANYTHING OUT OF ORDER AND CLEAN UP ANYTHING THAT NEEDS IT

  • MAKE SURE THE PROPERTY IS PROPERLY SET FOR THE EVENT INLCUDING: SETTING UP RENTAL ITEMS, PUTTING OUT TRASH BINS, ETC.

  • CLEAN ANYTHING ELSE THAT’S NEEDED

  • WEED AND GARDEN FLOWER BEDS AND GROUNDS, AS NEEDED

  • BE PROFESSIONAL IN ALL INTERACTIONS WITH EVENT GUESTS AND/OR VENDORS:

    • BE KIND, PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL

    • PROVIDE GUESTS AND VENDORS WITH HELPFUL INFORMATION OR ADVICE - IF NEEDED, CONNECT THEM TO THE APPROPRIATE ABELLA TEAM MEMBER

    • LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO EXCEED GUEST’S EXPECTATIONS OF SERVICE

  • TROUBLESHOOT PROPERTY, FACILITY, AND EQUIPMENT ISSUES AND LOOP IN YOUR SUPERVISOR IF NECESSARY

  • AT THE END OF THE SEASON, WORK WITH THE ABELLA TEAM TO PREPARE FACILITIES AND GROUNDS FOR WINTER

  • COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SUPERVISOR IN ADVANCE ABOUT YOUR SCHEDULE AND TIME-OFF REQUESTS; IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES OR SICK DAYS, CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR IMMEDIATELY AND COORDINATE A COWORKER SUBSTITUTE TO COVER YOUR EVENT AS NEEDED

  • POSITIVELY REPRESENT ABELLA AND OUR VALUES

  • EXERCISE DISCRETION AT ALL TIMES

  • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF RELATED CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND TEARDOWN TASKS

  • PREFERRED: WORK EXPERIENCE IN CLEANING, EVENT SETUP/TEARDOWN, MAINTENANCE, OR EQUIVALENT

  • BE HIGHLY PERSONABLE AND DEMONSTRATE A GUEST-FIRST SERVICE APPROACH TO INTERACTIONS WITH PEOPLE

  • ABLE TO SAFELY ENGAGE IN PHYSICAL LABOR (STAND, WALK, BEND, SQUAT, LIFT ETC.) FOR 2-5 HOUR SHIFTS

  • ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 60 LBS.

  • ENJOY WORKING OUTSIDE

  • BE A SELF-STARTER AND PROBLEM-SOLVER

  • BE A COLLABORATIVE TEAM-PLAYER

  • BE POSITIVE AND CONFIDENT

  • MUST MAINTAIN A PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND FOLLOW THE ABELLA ATTIRE GUIDELINES

  • MUST BE ON TIME

  • MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION

  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SEASONALLY FROM APRIL-NOVEMBER

  • MUST HAVE AVAILABILITY TO WORK A COMBINATION OR SPECIFIC CATEGORY OF: WEEKDAYS, WEEKENDS, EVENINGS, LATE NIGHTS, AND/OR SOME HOLIDAYS

  • HOURS ARE DEPENDENT ON EVENTS SCHEDULED AND WHAT’S NEEDED; SHIFTS RANGE FROM 2-5 HOURS
