JOB DESCRIPTION


CELEBRATIONS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND FUN AND THE SET UP CREW MAKES SURE IT STAYS THAT WAY! THE SET UP CREW WILL PUT IN THE WORK BEHIND THE SCENES TO MAKE SURE THE DAY RUNS SMOOTHLY FOR ALL OUR COUPLES AND THEIR GUESTS.


YOU WILL BE ESSENTIAL TO MAKING SURE WE DELIVER THE BEST DAY POSSIBLE FOR OUR CLIENTS. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: RESETTING THE PROPERTY TO THE LAYOUT, PROVIDING A STRESS-FREE PARKING EXPERIENCE, ASSISTING DURING CEREMONY FLIPS, RESETTING CEREMONY SEATING, CLEANING VARIOUS SPACES THOUGH OUT THE DAY, AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.


SHIFTS ARE SEASONAL (APRIL-NOVEMBER). THEY ARE TYPICALLY 3-5 HOUR SHIFTS (8:30AM - 11:30AM AND 3PM-8PM) ON THURSDAYS-SUNDAYS WHEN EVENTS ARE SCHEDULED. YOU’LL BE ON ROTATION WITH OTHER CREW MEMBERS, AND YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK 5-25 HOURS PER WEEK.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • MEET AND GREET EVERY GUEST THAT ARRIVES AT ABELLA WITH A BIG SMILE AND WAVE.  YOU WILL WARMLY WELCOME THE EVENT GUESTS AND DIRECT THEM TO THEIR PARKING SPACE

  • WALK THE ENTIRE PROPERTY LOOKING FOR ANYTHING OUT OF ORDER AND ADDRESS ANYTHING THAT NEEDS IT

  • WORK AS A TEAM WITH THE CREW TO ENSURE THE ENTIRE PROPERTY IS SPOTLESSLY FRESH AND CLEAN

  • WORK WITH THE ABELLA STAFF TO PUT AWAY ANY RENTAL ITEMS OR FURNITURE THAT IS NO LONGER NECESSARY

  • WORK AS A TEAM WITH THE CREW TO FLIP ANY SPACES AND PREPARE FOR THE FOLLOWING EVENTS

  • KINDLY INTERACT WITH EVENT GUESTS AND/OR VENDORS:

    • BE KIND, PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL

    • LISTEN, ANSWER QUESTIONS, AND ALWAYS PUT THE GUESTS FIRST

    • PROVIDE GUESTS WITH HELPFUL INFORMATION OR ADVICE FOR ENJOYING THEIR TIME AT ABELLA - IF NEEDED, CONNECT THEM TO THE APPROPRIATE ABELLA TEAM MEMBER

    • LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SURPRISE AND EXCEED GUESTS EXPECTATIONS OF SERVICE

  • TROUBLESHOOT PROPERTY, FACILITY, AND EQUIPMENT ISSUES AND ELEVATE TO YOUR SUPERVISOR, AS NEEDED

  • AT THE END OF THE SEASON, PREPARE FACILITIES AND GROUNDS FOR WINTER AND/OR OTHER ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS, AS NEEDED

  • BE PROFESSIONAL IN ALL INTERACTIONS WITH THE ABELLA TEAM, GUESTS, AND VENDORS

  • COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SUPERVISOR IN ADVANCE ABOUT YOUR SCHEDULE AND TIME-OFF REQUESTS; IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES OR SICK DAYS, CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR IMMEDIATELY AND COORDINATE A COWORKER SUBSTITUTE TO COVER YOUR EVENT AS NEEDED

  • EMBRACE AND MODEL ABELLA AND OUR VALUES

  • EXERCISE DISCRETION AT ALL TIMES

  • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF RELATED CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND TEARDOWN TASKS

  • PREFERRED: WORK EXPERIENCE IN CLEANING, EVENT SETUP/TEARDOWN, MAINTENANCE, OR EQUIVALENT

  • BE HIGHLY PERSONABLE AND DEMONSTRATE A GUEST-FIRST SERVICE APPROACH TO INTERACTIONS WITH PEOPLE

  • ABLE TO SAFELY ENGAGE IN PHYSICAL LABOR (STAND, WALK, BEND, SQUAT, LIFT ETC.) FOR 2-5 HOUR SHIFTS

  • ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 60 LBS.

  • ENJOY WORKING OUTSIDE

  • BE A SELF-STARTER AND SOLUTION-ORIENTED

  • BE A COLLABORATIVE TEAM-PLAYER

  • BE POSITIVE AND CONFIDENT

  • MUST MAINTAIN A PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND FOLLOW THE ABELLA ATTIRE GUIDELINES

  • MUST BE ON TIME

  • MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION

  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SEASONALLY FROM APRIL-NOVEMBER

  • MUST HAVE AVAILABILITY TO WORK A COMBINATION OR SPECIFIC CATEGORY OF: WEEKDAYS, WEEKENDS, EVENINGS, LATE NIGHTS, AND/OR SOME HOLIDAYS

  • HOURS ARE DEPENDENT ON EVENTS SCHEDULED AND WHAT’S NEEDED; SHIFTS RANGE FROM 2-5 HOURS
